About Me — Holly Coralline
Unveiling Life’s Mosaic, One Tale at a Time
Greetings to all the readers out there on Medium! My name is Holly Coralline, and I am excited to take you all on a journey with me. As a young and ambitious individual from Myanmar, I have a heart full of stories and an endless thirst for adventure. Writing has always been a passion of mine, and I hope to share my experiences with you in the most exhilarating way possible.
My ultimate aspiration is to become a surgeon so that I can utilize my skills to create a positive impact in the world. However, my journey has been challenging. Growing up in an Asian household, I was taught the significance of discipline, even if it felt like I was confined within four walls. But my father’s words always reminded me that being unique is something that should be celebrated. You may question how that is being unique. Let me explain; in this country, some individuals are wealthy, but their parents cannot focus on their upbringing, leading to negative behaviors from other children. On the other hand, some children are poor, and their parents are unable to provide them with proper education. As for me, my parents are neither poor nor rich, but they still pay close attention to my education and me all the time. We own three phone shops in different towns(which doesn’t mean we are rich, it’s a very small town in Myanmar), and my parents moved to the city to ensure my sister and I receive quality education, making it difficult for them to manage their business from a distance. That’s why my sister and I strive to be the best we can be.
Although I have achieved academic success, I have faced many obstacles such as bullying and emotional turbulence. Once, at my school, I was labeled as an attention-seeker by many other girls who posted about me on social media. Later, they came to me and talked normally about their day, trying to make me view their posts. However, with the help of my two best friends who told me what they had posted, I managed to ignore them and blocked the whole class right after the academic year. I was very glad that everything was over and I could change schools. Despite these difficulties, I have remained steadfast in my determination to share my experiences and connect with people like you. Although I may have a small social circle, I cherish my two loyal friends who have always stood by me.
For me, Medium is not just a writing platform. It is a sanctuary where I can express myself and connect with people from different parts of the world. Here, I can pour my heart out and transform my emotions, aspirations, and anecdotes into beautifully crafted narratives that resonate with readers.
I invite you all to join me on this journey through the ups and downs of life. From the intricacies of love to the corridors of academia, from the whispers of the past to the dreams of tomorrow, I promise to reveal all aspects of my life and to share the wisdom I have gained along the way.
Let’s navigate the labyrinth of existence together, one story at a time. Your interest and engagement mean the world to me. So, let’s embark on this odyssey with our words and the boundless expanse of imagination.
It was great having you here. Before I go, I would like to remind you to stay safe, stay inspired, and never let your curiosity fade away. I promise to keep in touch and explore a more specific topic next time. Thank you for taking the time to read this. If you’re interested, you can find more of my stories on Medium.
